Wyoming Fire Operations

Currently, Wyoming Fire Operations are composed of 40 members all of whom have their own vocations but offer their talents and skills to the operation of the Wyoming Fire Division. Additionally, the division has five young people serving as Fire Cadets, all between the ages of 15 and 18. The equipment used and operated by firefighters is owned by the City of Wyoming. The Fire & EMS Department makes approximately 350 emergency calls annually within Wyoming city limits and neighboring communities.

Wyoming EMS Operations

The Wyoming Emergency Medical Service (EMS) consists of 26 paramedics and EMTs, including paid on-call volunteers and part-time paid on-station personnel. Many are cross-trained as both firefighters and EMTs.

The EMS staff includes personnel who are certified instructors of various components of pre-hospital medicine including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Providers, Basic Trauma Life Support, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Dr. Joel Pranikoff, MD is a Board-Certified Emergency Physician who serves as Medical Director for Wyoming Fire & EMS Department.
