Reception Honoring Outgoing Board of Education Members

Celebrating our Outgoing Board of Education Members on Dec. 15 Please gather with us to honor Wyoming’s outgoing Board of Education Members - Kara Broderick, John Feldmeier and Heather Yee - at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 15, at Wyoming Middle School. The event will include light refreshments and take place in the Bob Yearout Professional Development Room in the middle school’s Learning Commons. The gathering will wrap up prior to that evening’s Board of Education Meeting at 7 p.m. in the Wyoming City Schools Central Office Conference Room.

Hoxworth Blood Drive

Mark your calendars because our next Blood Drive is happening on Tuesday, December 16 from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Wyoming Civic Center.  

All donors will receive a Hoxworth Heros Backpack.

Christmas Toy Drive presented by the Wyoming Police Department 

Date/Time: Friday, December 19, 12:00-6:00 p.m. Location: Wyoming Police Dept. Lobby, 600 Grove Ave 

Please join us in spreading some joy this holiday season!

Letters to Santa at the Recreation Center

Now-December 21 

The Wyoming Recreation Center is so excited to be able to offer Santa's  

Mailbox at the Recreation Center. Santa's Mailbox will be at the Recreation Center from December 1–December 21. 

Kids can drop off their letters to Santa at our Recreation Center! His North Pole team will collect them and ensure they reach him.  

Don’t forget to include a name and address for Santa’s reply, along with an unaffixed postage stamp.

The City of Wyoming will be hosting our 3rd Annual Wellness Fair on Saturday, January 10, and we are looking for vendors that deal with mental/emotional health, physical health, nutrition, and more!

Spring Valley Bank Holiday Food Drive Benefiting Valley Interfaith Community Resource Center

Dates: Now through December 22, 2025 

Help spread love & kindness this holiday season by dropping off your food donations for Valley Interfaith Community Resource Center to the Spring Valley Bank lobby now through December 22nd to make a difference in the lives of those in our community. Suggested donations: Canned meat (chicken or tuna), peanut butter, canned fruit, canned beans, pasta & sauces, instant mashed potatoes or any non-perishable. 

Primary Schools Construction Project Timeline

The Wyoming Primary Schools Construction Project is underway! There has been a recent adjustment to the construction timeline. Students are now scheduled to move into the new Hilltop School at the end of the summer of 2027 (rather than January 2027). Vermont students will use Friendship United Methodist Church as a temporary instruction space after Hilltop students move into their new school. The new Vermont School is scheduled to be ready for students at the end of the summer of 2028. Construction at Elm School is scheduled to begin this summer. The new Elm School is scheduled to be ready for students at the end of the summer of 2027.
