Updated Newsletter Software

The City of Wyoming is proud to announce that we have new newsletter software. This software gives us the ability to add images and graphics to our newsletters. We believe this will enhance the experience for our residents and anyone who receives our newsletters!

Updated Mass Notification System

The City has a New Mass Notification System which will be replacing Nixle. This new software gives us the ability to not only send emergency notifications but also general notifications about water main breaks, scheduled road closures, and event notification.

If you attempt to sign up and receive a message that your email address is already in the system, simply enter your email or phone number to access and modify your preferences. For questions about the Mass Notification System, contact Emily Dengler at edengler@wyomingohio.gov. 

Holiday Closings

The Wyoming City Building will be closed Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28. 

We will resume normal operating hours on Monday, December 1. 

The Wyoming Recreation Center will be closed Thursday, November 27. We will resume normal operating hours on Friday, November 28. 

No newsletter will be sent out the week of 11/23-11/29.

Wyoming Firefighters Association Turkey Raffle

Dates/Times: Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22, Doors Open at 6:00 p.m. 

Join us November 21 and 22 for the Wyoming Fire Association’s annual Turkey Raffle fundraiser! Doors open at 6:00 each night for food, drinks, silent auction and more. We’ll start spinning the wheel at 7:00 for your chance to win a fresh turkey delivered to your house the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Daddy Daughter Registration Opens December 1 

We are excited to announce that the 18th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance theme is “Under the Big Top”. We will have lots of circus-themed snacks and decorations to make everyone feel like they are "Under the Big Top"! 

The dances will occur on January 23, 24, and 25. 

Registration opens online on December 1st at 6 a.m. We are continuing to do ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY for our Daddy Daughter Dances. No in-person registrations will be accepted. Please note, you will only be able to register for members of your household. Each household will need to log into their own account to register for the dance.

Holiday One Stop Shop

Date/Time: Saturday, December 6, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Location: Wyoming Civic Center 

Save the date! The 14th Annual Holiday One Stop Shop is on Saturday, December 6th, from 10 AM to 3 PM! 

Get your holiday shopping off to a festive start while supporting local vendors. The Civic Center will be transformed into a holiday wonderland where you can find everything from jewelry to home goods to homemade crafts and spirit wear! 

Plus, enjoy delightful holiday music provided by the Wyoming Civic Winds and our featured food truck is Schmidt's Sausage Truck. Don’t miss out!

The City of Wyoming, in partnership with the JWC of Wyoming, is thrilled to present the City's Holiday Celebration with "Light up Wyoming". Bring your family and friends for a memorable evening filled with fun! Stroll along Wyoming Avenue and Village Green to meet Santa, enjoy a live reindeer display, get some holiday shopping done, listen to festive music, savor delicious food, and witness the inaugural tree lighting ceremony! Join us for this wonderful holiday tradition that embodies our community spirit and will truly “Light Up Wyoming!”

NEW Position: Maintenance Worker 

The City of Wyoming is currently accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Worker position within the Public Works Department. This role involves performing a wide range of skilled and unskilled labor tasks to support the maintenance and operations of city infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a dependable team player who communicates effectively, follows instructions well, and contributes positively to a collaborative work environment. The Public Works Department proudly serves the Wyoming community, home to approximately 8,500 residents, and plays a vital role in maintaining the high quality of life our city is known for.

Position: Seasonal Summer Camp Coordinator 

The Wyoming Recreation Department is seeking an energetic, outgoing individual to serve as the seasonal Summer Camp Coordinator for the 2026 Summer Camp season. The Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of camp activities, camp staff, and campers to ensure a safe, engaging, and enriching camp experience. This role involves planning, programming, managing staff schedules, handling camper needs, and ensuring that camp operations align with the organization’s mission and safety standards. The Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for the direct supervision of Summer Camp Counselors and day-to-day operations of summer camp. Duties are performed under the direction of the Recreation Director. This position serves as an integral part of the Summer Camp Leadership Team.
